N - Sailing Instruction Guide
The Sailing Instructions Guide is for
Course Racing and Slalom Racing and maybe modified to suit
other disciplines. Sailing Instruction Guides for Wave and
Freestyle are available from IFCA.
Heading of Sailing Instructions: On separate
lines insert:
- Full name of the regatta.
- The inclusive dates from check in
(registration) until the final race.
- The name of the organizing authority
- The city and country.
N1. Rules
The regatta will be governed by.
- The ISAF Funboard Racing Rules 1999(FRR);
- The Championship Rules (IFCC) - FRR-T;
- The International Funboard Class Measurement
Rules 1999 (IFCM) - FRR-U;
- The Notice of Race (NOR); except as any of
these are changed by the Sailing Instructions (SI);
- and by these Sailing Instructions. The regatta
is designated Category B.

N2.2
SAFETY
(a)
The safety of the sailboard and its entire management including
insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the competitor
racing the sailboard who must be ensure that the sailboard
is adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course
of the race. Neither the establishment of these sailing instruction
nor the inspection of the board under these conditions in
any way limits or reduces the absolute responsibility of the
competitor for his/her board and entire management thereof.
(b) The race organizers, the race
committee and the jury will not be responsible for any loss,
damage, death or personal injury however caused to the competitor
as a result of their taking part in the race or races.
N2.3
ADVERTISING
Competitors are/are not required
to display the official stickers on their sails and wear an
advertising vest provided by the organizer at the registration,
while racing and training at or near the race site.
N2.4
EQUIPMENT
Boards, equipment and clothing may be measured
or checked before or after any race at the discretion of the
Measurer or the Race Committee.
