Section D - Other Rules
When rule 20 & 21 apply between two boards, Section A
rules do not.
20 Starting Error; Moving Astern
20.1
A board returning to the pre-start side of the starting line
or its extensions to comply with rule 29.2 shall keep clear
of a board not doing so until it is wholly on the pre-start
side.
20.2
A board moving astern shall keep clear of one that is not.
21 Capsized
Boards
21.1
If possible, a board shall avoid a board that is capsized
or is trying to help a person or vessel in danger. 21.2
A board shall not be penalised for failure to keep clear of
another who capsized immediately in front of it. 21.3
A board who is capsized shall not take any action which hinders
another board.
22 Not Racing-
Interfering With Another Board
22.1
If reasonably possible, a board not racing shall avoid interfering
with a board that is racing. 22.2
A board may not sail in the course area indicated on the course
diagram/description while races are taking place other than
during its own race.
