G4 Category
B
G 4.1 A board
competing in a Category B event may display advertising only
as permitted for Category A and by rule G4.3 and throughout
that event shall not display advertising chosen by the competitor,
of more than two organizations or persons. A Category B advertisement
shall be either one or two of,
(a) the name of an organization or person,
(b) a brand or product name, or,
(c) a logo.
G4.3 Additional advertising
on sail, clothing & equipment
(a) That part of the sail below the
boom not used for Category A advertising may display advertising
chosen by the competitor.
(b) In addition to the advertisements
carried on the board, advertisements limited to the organization(s)
advertising on the board and one or two additional organizations
may be displayed on clothing and equipment worn by competitors:
G5 Category C
G 5.1 Advertising
for Category C event (any event that permits advertising beyond
Category B advertising) shall be.
(a) approved by the national authority
of the event's venue unless the event is an international event;
(b) approved by the ISAF when the event
is an international event.
G 5.2 Advertising Fees
(a) National events: The national authority
of the venue may require an advertsing fee for approval of Catergory
C advertising to be paid to it.
(b) International events: The ISAF will
require an advertising fee for approval of Catergory C advertising,
and will share the fee equally with the national authority of
the venue.
G 5.3 Approval Fees
The organizing authority of an event with cash or cashable prizes,
appearance payments, individual sponsorship payments by the
event organizers or otherwise, or other benefits of a similar
nature, totalling more than US $20,000 or the equivalent may
be required to pay an approval fee. For a national event the
national authority of the venue may require such a fee. For
an international event the ISAF will require such a fee.
G 5.4 Rules for
catergory C advertising shall be stated in the notice of race
and the sailing instructions.
