Course Racing
Angles of a Standard Course
Course Race (Standard Course)
Note: If possible the finishing line shall be
set by trailing a mark to leeward of the Committee Boat. The
line to the mark shall be weighted.
Square Course
Alternative Emergency Course
Note: This course or a course with three gybing
marks shall be used in very rough conditions, when the standard
Course cannot be set in a timely fashion.
Slalom Course
Figure of eight.
Note: The start can be from the beach or on
the water near marks A or B. If the wind is not cross shore,
starts should normally be on the water. The finish can be
to windward or leeward of mark B, on the water or the beach
Downwind Slalom
Note: if the start is on or near the beach,
the first mark should be where the start is shown on the diagram.
Finishing lines should be angles so they can be crossed while
travelling in a straight line from the last mark.
