THE UNIQUE TURKISH WINDSURF CLASSIC !

Since the organisation has been celebrating its 5th anniversary in 1999, it becomes the sole windsurf tradition of Turkey.

For the first time, in 1995, Quiksilver Windsurf Cup has realised as two legs, the first one in Çeşme and the second one in Bodrum. In the following years, the organisation has chosen its official site in Çeşme / Alaçati. Therefore, every year in mid July, all top windsurfers of Turkey and even the internationally well-known racers meet in Alaçati (Agrilya), the famous windsurf spot and the small Agean town located at south coast of Çeşme Peninsula. From this year onwards, this quality windsurfing site has been called as Quiksilver Alaçati Windsurfers' Paradise.

Since 1995, more than a thousand of windsurfes have raced for the top, thousands of youngstars have started windsurfing and millions of Turks have known about windsurfing through intense media coverage by Quiksilver Windsurf Cups. The Quiksilver Windsurf Cup was the first fully professional level funboard race for Turkish Windsurfers, and like windsurfing we will dominantly take place in Turkish boardriding area as a part of our philosophy said Mr. Önder Eren, the president of Palimar A.Ş. that is the licensee for Quiksilver in Turkey, CIS and Middle East. The Children of the Sun

In 1999, Quiksilver Windsurf Cup was realised as the second leg of Turkish Windsurfing Championship officially approved by Turkish Sailing Federation. The races on the sea, the day and night shows on the beach, the fireworks and the flying skaters in the sky (during the Boardriders' Beach Party) made it so great that nobody could forget this summer.
